Product specs for Anritsu MT8212A

Anritsu MT8212A

Product Description:

Anritsu MT8212A Cell Master, 25 MHz to 4000 MHz, Built-in DTF, Built-in Spectrum Analyzer, 10 MHz to 3000 MHz, Built-in Power Meter, 10 MHz to 3000 MHz, Built-in T1/E1 Tester

The Anritsu MT8212A spectrum analyzer is a wide band, very sensitive receiver. It works on the principle of "super-heterodyne receiver" to convert higher frequencies (normally ranging up to several 10s of GHz) to measurable quantities. The received frequency spectrum is slowly swept through a range of pre-selected frequencies, converting the selected frequency to a measurable DC level (usually logarithmic scale), and displaying the same on the CRT of the Anritsu MT8212A. The CRT displays received signal strength (y-axis) against frequency ( x-axis).

Some applications for Anritsu MT8212A Spectrum Analyzers include Site Monitoring: Verify that the frequency and signal strength of your transmitter is accurate. Interference: Before a system is installed you use a Anritsu MT8212A spectrum analyzer to verify that the frequencies (you plan to use) are not occupied or if the presence of a very strong signal will interfere with your new setup. Interference can be created by a number of different situations. Other tests that utilize the Anritsu MT8212A spectrum analyzer features include antenna isolation, co-channel interference, adjacent channel power, occupied bandwidth, intermodulation, microwave or satellite antenna alignment, and characterization of components.

Cell Master MT8212A is a comprehensive, one-box base station test tool for deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting wireless base stations. Combining the functionality of a cable and antenna analyzer (25 MHz to 4000 MHz), spectrum analyzer (10 MHz to 3.0 GHz), power meter, and T1/E1 analyzer into one lightweight, handheld test set - eliminates the need for field engineer and field technician to carry, manage and learn multiple test sets. MT8212A measurement capability includes precision return loss, VSWR, cable loss, distance-to-fault, signal identification, interference analysis, channel power, adjacent channel power ratio, field strength, transmitter power and T1/E1 measurements. Patented RF interference rejection enables accurate, repeatable measurements in the presence of high RF activity. PC data analysis software enables assessment of system trends, problems, and performance in addition to professional report generation.
